Our Rehabilitation team addresses every students unique needs to include a wide range of speech therapy and communication strategies, physical and motor skill development, sensory integration learning and social skill building all provided in fun and fulfilling environments.
Art & Music Therapy
In partnership with Westchester Creative Arts Therapy, we offer weekend therapy in the mediums of Art and Music throughout the year. Art therapy involves the use of creative techniques such as drawing, painting, collage, coloring, or sculpting to help students express themselves artistically and examine the psychological and emotional undertones in their art. Art and music therapy often enables us to learn more about nonverbal messages, symbols, and metaphors which can lead to a better understanding of common and complex feelings and behavior.
All students in our program travel on a journey to a personally rewarding future. Vocational learning is an important part of the process. Through our education program and in nearby communities, students learn to embrace and fine-tune their unique skills and abilities in order to apply them to new opportunities. Our vocational learning program includes therapies in systematic organization, building skills in everyday living and inclusion on appropriate community projects.
Art instruction is part of every student’s educational program. Our program is designed to improve a student’s overall capacity for learning. Each child successfully participates in independent and group projects involving the mediums of painting, sculpture, photography collage work and theatre.
